What is a herd?
A herd is large group of animals living together.
A herd generally refers to livestock, or other mammals, such as antelopes, buffalos, cattle, deer, donkeys, elephants, giraffes, horses, moose, rabbits, sheep, walruses, and whales.

A herd can sometimes refer to a large group of birds, such as a herd of cranes, curlews, swans, and wrens.
