How does the Zebra repel insects?
The Common Zebra (Equus quagga, formerly Equus burchellii) is common in the treeless plains of East Africa and southern Africa. It is an ungulate (a hoofed mammal).
The Common Zebra is like a horse or pony with short legs, and is black and white striped. The stripes continue all the way to its hooves. No two Zebras are alike, because they all have slightly different markings.

What is the difference in tiger stripes between tiger sub-species: Amur Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris), Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris), and the Sumatran Tiger (Panthera tigris sondaica)? They all belong to the Felidae family and Panthera genus.
As a form of camouflage, tigers have stripes – not to confuse their predators but to hide from their prey. Tigers like to sneak up close to their prey, hide in tall grass and trees, then pounce on their prey.
Their form of camouflage is called disruptive camouflage because the stripes are broken – short, irregular stripes.

What is the difference between the Lesser Kudu and the Greater Kudu?
The Lesser Kudu (Tragelaphus imberbis)and the Greater Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros) are both African antelopes.
The Lesser Kudu and the Greater Kudu are both ungulate mammals (they have hoofed feet).
The Lesser Kudu has no beard or fringe. The Greater Kudu has a beard along its throat or a white fringe.
The Lesser Kudu has more white stripes on its body than the Greater Kudu.
The Lesser Kudo has up to 14 vertical white stripes on its body. The Greater Kudu has 6-10 vertical white stripes on its body.

What’s the difference between the African Eastern Striped Skink and the African Five-Lined Skink?
The African Eastern Striped Skink (Trachylepis striata striata) and the African Five-Lined Skink are lizards found in East Africa and southern Africa. They are similar in size and colour.
The African Eastern Striped Skink has two yellowish stripes that run lengthwise on either side of the spine, whereas the Five-Lined Skink has five lines.
What’s the difference between the Common Zebra, Grevy’s Zebra, and Chapman’s Zebra?
The Common Zebra (Equus burchellii) and the Grévy’s Zebra (Equus grevyi) both have black and white stripes, whereas the Chapman’s Zebra (Equus burchellii antiquorum) has brown and white stripes with a “shadow” grey stripe.
The Common Zebra and the Chapman’s Zebra look more like short-legged horses, whereas the Grévy’s Zebra looks more like a mule.
The Common Zebra and the Chapman’s Zebra have wider stripes than the Grévy’s Zebra.
The Common Zebra and the Chapman’s Zebra have stripes on their belly, whereas the Grévy’s Zebra has a white unstriped belly.
