Ragdoll Cat

The Ragdoll Cat (Felis catus) is a breed of domesticated cat in the Felidae family. It is called Ragdoll because it goes limp (floppy) and relaxed when it is picked up. It is often known as an ‘apartment cat.’

The Ragdoll Cat has a semi-long, silky, soft coat of hair. It has blue eyes, thick limbs, a soft body, and a long, bushy tail. It has a wide space between the ears. Some have upside-down V-shaped markings on their forehead.

Lilac Point Siamese Cat

The Lilac Point Siamese Cat (Felis catus) is a common and popular domestic mammal in the Felidae family of cats. It is a version of the Chocolate Point Siamese and the Blue Point Siamese. The colour breed was officially recognized in 1955.

The Lilac Point Siamese Cat has an elongated, muscular body, a triangular-shaped head, almond-shaped eyes, and large ears. It has a long neck, and a thin, long tail. It has sharp teeth, a triangular snub nose, and long, white whiskers. It has a creamy-white body with short, glossy fur and lilac-grey points with pink undertones. It has blue-grey eyes.

Chartreux Cat

The Chartreux Cat (Felis catus) is a mammal in the Felidae family of cats. It is a rare domestic cat. A cat is a felid, or a feline.

The Chartreux Cat has short, thick, silver-grey fur, which is called blue fur. Unlike most other cats, it has water-resistant fur due to a double layer of medium-length, slightly woolly hair. It sheds its fur moderately. It is large and muscular with short ears and a fluffy tail. It has distinctive orange or amber eyes. It is considered to be highly intelligent.

Jaguar Claws

The Jaguar (Panthera onca) is a large mammal in the Felidae family of wild cats. It is native to South America.

It is a carnivore – it eats meat. It kills is prey by biting into its skull. It pierces the skull with its large canine teeth and strong jaws.

But first, it has to catch its prey. It uses a stalk and ambush approach, instead of chase and catch. It slowly stalks and then pounces on its prey. Sometimes it leaps into water to catch its prey because it is a good swimmer.

CREATURE FEATURE: South American Cougar

The South American Cougar (Puma concolor puma) is a large wild cat in the Felidae family. It is a felid. It is a sub-species of the Cougar (Puma concolor). It is also known as the Puma.

The South American Cougar is one colour (concolor means one colour), which is usually tawny brown or reddish-brown. It has lighter patches on its underbelly, chin, and throat.has a rounded head, and a long, slender body with powerful forequarters, larger front feet, and large paws. It has four retractile claws on each hind (back) paw and five retractile claws on its forepaws (front paws), but one is a dewclaw (digit). Retractile claws can extend and retract, protecting them with a sheath of skin when they are not being used.

Jaguar

The Jaguar (Panthera onca) is a large, near-threatened wild cat in the Felidae family. It is a felid. It is also known as the Panther.

The Jaguar looks like the Leopard, but it is larger and more muscular. It has tawny-brown fur covered with rosette-shaped markings with one or several dots. It has spots on its head and neck. Its tail also has spots, and ends with bands. Forest Jaguars are usually darker than those in open areas. It has short, powerful legs. It has a large head with strong jaws.  

The Black Jaguar, or Black Panther, is actually a melanistic Jaguar, mainly found in South America. Melanism is the darkening of the body.

Eurasian Lynx

The Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx) is a medium-sized wild cat: a feline mammal. It is a felid. 

The Eurasian Lynx has short reddish or brown fur in summer and thick, silky silver-grey to greyish-brown fur in winter, with a long grey and white ruff. Its underbelly, neck and chin are white. Its fur has black spots, although some Lynxes have dark-brown stripes on their forehead and back. It has black tufts of hair on its ears. It has powerful long legs with large webbed, furred paws to enable it to swim and to walk on snowy ground. It has a bobbed tail with a black tip.

Clouded Leopard

The Clouded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosi) is a wild cat; a feline mammal (a felid). 

The Clouded Leopard has dark-grey to ochre-brown fur, with black and dark-coloured markings. It has black spots on its head, and broken stripes from the corner of its eyes over its cheek, from the corner of its mouth to the neck, and along its shoulders. Its sides have dusky-grey irregular blotches. Its underbelly and legs are spotted. 

Its ears are black, and its tail has large, irregular, paired spots. It has short legs with large paws. Its back legs are longer than its front legs. Its eyes have vertical slits with brownish-yellow to greyish-green irises. It has long, sharp canine teeth.

A feline is a cat or an animal that is cat-like. 

A felid or a feline is a carnivorous mammal known as a cat – such as a domestic cat or a wild cat. 

A wild cat includes a bobcat, caracal, cheetah, cougar, eyra, jaguar, jaguarundi, kodkod, leopard, lion, lynx, margay, ocelot, oncilla, panther, puma, serval, tiger, and tigrillo.

The Caracal (Caracal caracal) is a medium-sized carnivorous felid mammal in the Felides family of wild cats. 

The Caracal has reddish, tan-coloured or sandy-coloured fur. Its sides are lighter with small, reddish markings, and its underbelly is white. It has a strong build, and long legs with large broad paws. It has a short face with black markings on its whiskper pads and around its green, grey, or golden-brown eyes. It has long canine teeth. It has large black ears with ear tufts. It has a short tail. The female is lighter in colour than the male, and shorter.
