Madagascar Orb Weaver Spider

The Madagascar Orb Weaver Spider (Nephila inaurata madagascariensis) is a large spider in the Araneidae family of orb weaver araneomorphic spiders. It is also known as the Red-Legged Golden Orb Weaver Spider.

The Madagascar Orb Weaver Spider has an elongated black body and red legs. The female has yellow markings on her abdomen. It has chelicerae (jaws) that move from side to side in a scissor-like motion. It has eight small eyes grouped closely together. Its legs are banded and spiny.

Daddy Long-Legs Spider

The Daddy Long-Legs Spider (Pholcus opilionoides) is an arachnid in the Pholcidae family. It is also known as the Cellar Spider. It is an araneomorph spider and a pholcid.

An arachnid (8 legs) is not an insect (6 legs). 

The Daddy Long-Legs Spider has an oval-shaped, light-brown or dark-brown carapace (shell) and a brown, beige or grey abdomen, about the size of a peanut. Down the middle of its abdomen, it has two darker lengthwise, ragged-edged stripes. It has scissor-like jaws, called chelicerae, that move from side to side. It has eight small eyes grouped closely together. It has 8 very long, very thin, delicate legs that are banded at the joints.

The Cross Orbweaver Spider (Araneus diadematus) is an arachnid in the Araneidae family of orb-weaving araneomorphic spiders. It is also known as the European Garden Spider, the Diadem Spider, the Orangle, the Cross Spider, and the Crowned Orb Weaver.

The Cross Orbweaver varies in colour from light yellow to dark-grey. It has mottled white markings on its abdomen, often forming a cross shape. It has a heart-shaped body. It has chelicerae (jaws) that move from side to side in a scissor-like motion. It has eight small eyes grouped closely together. Its legs are banded and spiny.

The Long-Bodied Daddy Long-Legs Spider (Pholcus phalangioides) is an arachnid in the Pholcidae family. It is also known as the Cellar Spider.

The Long-Bodied Daddy Long-Legs Spider has a light-brown or dark-brown carapace (shell) and a brown, beige or grey abdomen, but mostly it looks pale and translucent (clear). It has scissor-like jaws, called chelicerae, that move from side to side. It has eight small eyes grouped closely together. It has very long, thin legs that are banded at the joints.
