The Cinnamon Flatbug (Aradus cinnamomeus) is a small insect in the Aradidae family.
The Cinnamon Flatbug is blackish-brown with pale-brown shoulders. It has a flat carapace with rounded ends. It has wings but they are unfit for substantial flight. It has bulging eyes. Its antennae have four segments.

It grows to half a centimetre (a quarter of an inch) long.
The Flatbug is common worldwide, and the Cinnamon Flatbug is common across Europe. It can be seen throughout the year.
It is usually found under loose bark of trees infested by fungi. It eats fungi. It is also pyrophilous, which means that it also likes to live in burned forests after wildfires, and feeds on fungi that grows on burned conifers.
