Which bird has a reputation for being the most dangerous bird in the world?
The Cassowary has a reputation for being the most dangerous bird in the world.
The Southern Cassowary (Casuarius casuarius) is a large flightless bird in the Casuariidae family. It is native to north-eastern Australia, New Guinea, and Indonesia.

It is a solitary bird and likes to stay away from human contact. It is not a meat-eater. It eats fruit, fungi, and insects.
However, the Southern Cassowary is very large. It measures 127-170 centimetres (50-67 inches) tall. Its beak measures 10-19 centimetres (4-7.5 inches) in length.
Its strong feet have three toes with one long claw on each foot.
It will defend itself and its chicks or eggs. To defend itself, it kicks. Its claws can rip skin and inflict deep injuries and death.
