Rainbow Animals

Rainbow-coloured animals contain the colours of a rainbow.

The seven colours of the rainbow are, in order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. The acronym ROYGBIV helps people remember the colours.

Mainly reptiles, birds, fish, and insects have rainbow colours.

Some birds with rainbow colours include the Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus moluccanus) and the Rainbow Finch, which is also called the Gouldian Finch (Erythura gouldiaeor Chloebia goldiae).
