What does it mean when people say that something is like water off a duck’s back??

A duck has water resistant or waterproof feathers. The drops of water roll off a duck’s back. 

Water off a duck’s back is an idiom – a saying. It means that insults, criticism, bad events, or difficulties will roll off a person’s body without much effect. It also means that something difficult will not last long. 

For example: The difficult tasks are like water off a duck’s back to the Technical Working Group. This means that the Technical Working Group are not worried about difficult jobs because they can handle them easily.
