The Falabella Miniature Horse (Equus ferus caballus) is one of the smallest breeds of horses in the world. It is an ungulate (hoofed) equine mammal. It is not a pony. 

The Falabella Miniature Horse has a small and compact body with short legs. It is an odd-toed ungulate, which means that is has a hoof with one toe. It has a thick coat of hair. It can be brown, black, white, brown and white, golden brown, or tan. Its mane is long and silky. 

It measures 8 hands, which is about 81 centimetres (32 inches) tall. 

The Falabella Miniature Horse is native to South America, particularly from Argentina. 

The Falabella Miniature Horse is a grazer, eating grass.  

Despite its small legs, it is a good jumper. It can jump upt to 90 centimetres (36 inches). 

The Falabella Miniature Horse lives in small herds of 3-5 individuals. The female, called the mare, is pregnant for about 340 days, before giving birth to a single live young, called a foal. The foal is precocial, which means that it is born with hair. The foal can stand soon after birth, and drinks milk from its mother. 

It lives, on average, for 40-50 years.
