African Emigrant Butterfly

The African Emigrant Butterfly (Catopsilia florella) is a large common butterfly. It is also called the African Migrant Butterfly or Common Vagrant.

The male African Emigrant Butterfly is greenish-white and the female is dull white or yellow. It has a cream-white body.

It can have a wingspan of 5-6 centimetres (2-2.5 inches).

It feeds on nectar from flowers.

It is quite a fast fluttering butterfly.

The African Emigrant Butterfly is found in Africa, Sri Lanka, India, Burma, and China.
