The White-Headed Buffalo-Weaver (Dinemellia dinamelli) is a small East African bird.

The White-Headed Buffalo-Weaver has a black beak, white head and underbelly, black around the eyes, and black-brown back, tail, and wings (with streaks of white). Its rump is bright red.

White-Headed Buffalo-Weaver

The White-Headed Buffalo-Weaver grows to about 23 centimetres (9 inches).

It lives in dry bushlands and wooded savannas near thorny acacia trees and baobab trees. It lives in small groups of three to six individuals, and sometimes with starlings.

It feeds on the ground and in trees, on seeds, fruit, and insects.

The White-Headed Buffalo-Weaver builds a row of stick nests over low branches. The entrance of the nest is underneath, and the inside of the nest is lined with feathers and grass. Females lay 3-4 eggs.
