CREATURE FEATURE: Defassa Waterbuck

A Waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus defassa) is a large antelope found in Africa.

Waterbucks have brown shaggy coats, with a white patch around their noses. They have large rounded ears.

Waterbucks can grow to 1.4 metres (4.5 feet) tall.

Waterbucks graze on grass near permanent water sources, such as lakes. They are herbivores.

They are strong swimmers.

Waterbucks live in herds of about 30 individuals.
